Incubation · Technical

Labs, mentors, testing facilities.

Our incubatees plug into the full technical depth of IIT Guwahati — the labs and workshops, the faculty who teach in them, and the institute-grade testing facilities that turn a prototype into a credible product.

Labs and workshops

IITG labs, open to incubatees.

Incubatee companies are provided access to the laboratories and workshops of IIT Guwahati per the institute's standard norms — for everything from rapid fabrication to longer R&D cycles.

Mechanical, electronics, materials and embedded labs are routinely accessible. Specialised equipment — clean rooms, characterisation tools, fabrication facilities — is booked through the respective IITG departments based on availability.

Faculty mentors

Senior engineers, in the room.

Our mentors are faculty from IIT Guwahati. They provide full technical support — sitting in on architecture reviews, design reviews and code reviews as engineers, not as evaluators.

Mentor matches are made deliberately. A hardware founder is paired with someone who has built hardware; a software venture with someone who has shipped systems. The fit is the point of the match — not the title.

Beyond scheduled reviews, mentors are reachable for the small judgement calls that don't warrant a meeting but compound across a quarter.

Testing facilities

Validate at institute scale.

Testing facilities at IIT Guwahati are available to incubatees — for product validation, performance characterisation, and the quality work that needs equipment beyond an early-stage budget.

Booking and access happen through the institute's standard channels. The programme team helps with introductions and the paperwork the first time you need them.

Use of the institute's library as a reference resource is included — particularly useful for deep-tech ventures that need access to journals, standards and technical literature.
