A startup pitching competition at IITG-TIC — 20+ ideas from young founders across Assam, judged by a panel drawn from the region’s innovation ecosystem.
Battle Blitz 2026 — a startup pitching competition — was held at the Technology Incubation Centre, IIT Guwahati (IITG-TIC), organised together with the Smile Foundation, Assam Startup and Apun NGO. It brought a diverse, talented pool of participants into one room for an afternoon of ideas.
The pitches
More than twenty innovative ideas were pitched by students, startups and aspiring entrepreneurs from universities and colleges across Assam. The competition was a platform for creativity, entrepreneurial vision and problem-solving — a reflection of the region’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The jury
A distinguished panel evaluated the pitches: Trailukya Dutta, founder of Tholua Pratishthan, whose work centres on social impact and grassroots innovation; Kaushik Khanikar, consultant at Assam Startup, who supports emerging startups across the ecosystem; and Urmi Buragohain, CEO of the Technology Incubation Centre, IIT Guwahati.
Between the engaged discussions and the quality of the pitches, Battle Blitz 2026 stood as a marker of the momentum building around innovation and entrepreneurship in the region — with thanks to every participant, partner and jury member who made it work.
