AI-Assisted Coding Training Program
A five-day intensive for professionals from Numaligarh Refinery Limited — from the fundamentals of AI-assisted development to hands-on product building with modern AI tools.

To equip professionals for a period in which AI is reshaping how we build and solve problems, IITG Technology Incubation Centre (IITG-TIC) ran an intensive five-day AI-Assisted Coding Training Program for participants from Numaligarh Refinery Limited.
Foundations, then building
The programme opened with an inaugural session and a talk by Urmi Buragohain on the innovation and incubation ecosystem. Early days covered the fundamentals of AI-assisted development, an introduction to large language models, and the shape of the evolving AI ecosystem. Participants then moved from concepts to creation — using tools such as Cursor AI and Claude Code for rapid prototyping and product development.
Data, machine learning and industry
Later sessions went deeper into the foundations. Prof. Senthilmurugan Subbiah led on data fundamentals, machine-learning concepts and preprocessing, and on the transformative role of AI in chemical engineering and process industries — industry use cases, process optimisation, and the importance of pairing AI with domain expertise. Prof. Neeraj Sharma introduced machine learning, deep learning, image processing and computer vision, and speech-processing technologies.
A session with Dr Geetha Manjunath — Founder, CEO and CTO of Niramai Health Analytix — traced her journey building a deep-tech healthcare startup and the role of innovation in creating impact. Across the week, participants left with a firmer grasp of both the theory and the practice of applying AI within their own domains.
